Exploring the secrets of fast permanent weight loss
Are you one of the millions of people who have the best of intentions to begin an exercise program, maybe you did even start, but find you just cannot stick with it? Do you feel as though it is a chore that simply cannot fit into your daily life? Do you feel you are continually struggling to eat a healthier diet? Do you just wish you had someone to commiserate with, someone who is going through the same thing to offer support? If this sounds like you, you might want to consider seeking a diet buddy to help with motivation!
A diet buddy, or weight loss buddy, is someone who is also trying to eat healthier foods, get some exercise and lose some weight. They can help to motivate you, support you, discuss problems with you, and they make the whole process a lot more enjoyable.
We are all social creatures, and most of the time we have someone to turn to. At work you have your colleagues and your boss, if you are studying you have teachers, when you go out you have friends. Dieting is hard work and that should not be the time when you isolate yourself from others and try to do everything on your own.
The best place to start looking for a diet buddy is with people you know, do any of your friends or work colleagues want to lose weight and get fit? Ask around! It is much more motivating to have someone you know on the journey with you. If you don’t have any luck there then you can turn to the internet, ask in diet forums if anyone near you wants to buddy up, or if you are a member of a dieting site you can often search for people near you on there.
Somewhere else you can look is your local gym. If someone is going there then you know that they want to get fit, and that they live in your area, so they are a perfect candidate. Ask at the gym if you can put up a notice about finding a diet buddy, or just start talking to people as you workout.
If you still can’t find anyone from all those places, then try asking around at anywhere you go on a regular basis. Ask at church, put up a notice at the supermarket, and get chatting to people in those locations too and you may find the perfect diet buddy was standing behind you in a queue! Once you find someone reliable then it makes everything so much easier and enjoyable, so it is well worth the effort you put in at first to find them.
