The vegetarian Paleolithic diet is described at the top of the the healthiest and most natural diets. It originates from the idea that prehistoric people lived a healthier life eating only natural and fresh foods.

A very long time ago, during the Paleolithic era, it it is assumed that people ate better than we do now in today’s world. They had no other option than to eat 100% natural food without additional processing. It is assumed many ate foods completely raw without heat as fire was not always available. It is a fact that their life expectancy was 3-4 decades shorter than ours, but certainly they did not die of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity or cancer. They typically died of starvation, disease, or were killed by dinasours, cold, or parasites.

The “Paleolithic Diet” is a new trend that first caught on in California go figure. It urges a return to caveman’s way of eating when it was based on lean meats, fruits, nuts and seeds, and vegetables. Meats on the plan include venison, poultry, beef, fresh fish, and seafood such as clams, shrimp, and calamari. Fruits allowed on the menu are numerous and consist of pears, coconuts, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, peaches and grapes. From vegetables you can choose those that can be eaten raw like carrots, turnips, tomatoes, greens and okra. Your nuts and seeds might contain walnuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts, and acorns.

This goes without saying, you should not eat anything from the modern human diet on the Paleo plan including foods produced beyond the beginnings of agriculture or anything processed. These include grains (bread, pasta, and rice), legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), dairy products, fermented foods, potatoes, salt, oil, alcohol, fizzy sodas, or soy. What this means, if you want to follow the vegetarian Caveman diet what you have to do is get rid of meat from the list.

You can create tasty and healthy breakfasts, dinners or a healthy Paleo lunch without a lot of work. Because spices and most sauces are allowed on the plan, your creativity is only limited by your interesting imagination. How about having some sauted peppers and mushrooms over fresh greens? Perhaps you could stuff some peppers with diced mushrooms and garlic? Don’t forget entertaining fruit for dessert! Berries, grilled pineapple, and delicious frozen grapes can make yummy alternatives to fattening coockies and donuts.

Why should I follow the vegetarian Caveman diet? The Caveman plan is amongst the one of the most effective weight loss system diets available while being unique and beneficial to the whole body. The association between the Paleo diet and weight loss occurred in the mid 70′s. Any way to lose weight that includes foods rich in nutrients, antioxidants, and are low in carbohydrates, fats, and unnatural sugars is going to help you to lose weight. But the Caveman weight loss system is not just about weight loss. It is truly a lifestyle that one has to adopt all the way to get the full health benefits. Many health clubs such as the popular CrossFit gyms found all across the country are suggesting the Paleo plan for their members. Do you think the vegetarian Caveman diet is a solution for you?
