Exploring the secrets of fast permanent weight loss
Losing weight is such an issue with so many people (and not just us Americans)! Is the secret to maintaining a healthy body weight spiritual, mental, physical, or is it just plain good self control? Take a look at the investment that is made into advertising, books, seminars, and franchise businesses. Not only the time invested in research, product development, and the creation of marketing and advertising, but the time WE give to these products and solutions. It is such an issue with so many people!
About one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese. Approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2-19 years are obese. Even with the endless possibilities and choices that are at our disposal, obesity is still a huge problem in the world today!
Is the answer material or non-material. What I mean by this is that no one has produced anything that can be taken, drank, or read that can restore and maintain a natural and healthy body weight. Sure, volumes of assistants (for lack of a better word) have been produced, but often even these come and go quickly as do the results. Is there a non-material silver bullet solution to this epidemic then? Can prayer, meditation, religion, or God provide the answer? Perhaps there is no vaccine type cure. Perhaps having and maintaining a healthy body weight is too personal for a one size cures all remedy? The last time I checked, we can put a missile into a bedroom window halfway around the world and clone sheep! What could possibly be preventing us humans…with all of our advances in knowledge and technology from coming up with the silver bullet solution to weight loss and healthy lifestyles?
Robert Ingersoll said, “The time to be happy is now. The way to be happy is to make others so?” Principally, I agree with him. I have only realized certain realities when I ceased trying to obtain them directly. Happiness, contentment, success, relationships, and health are realities that when pursued as goals become quite illusive. The secret may be to find and develop others centered goals. The other could be God (the God of the Bible is an excellent place to start) or your spouse’s well being for instance. What makes Him or them happy? Already your focus is off of self and you are on your road to recovery and wellness!
Pick a specific date to start. Ask a friend to help you monitor your progress. Begin with a nutritional cleansing program to cleanse your body of toxins and impurities. Often times, a visit to a licensed chiropractor to remove the misalignments in your spine which cause nervous system interference is also a good idea. Consider cleaning house spiritually. Ask for and give forgiveness in any relationship that needs it especially if you don’t want too. Finally, consider joining a short term weight loss program that can help you meet others that may need your friendship and support!
