Asians are generally slim, only because they burn more calories than they take. There’s no secrets in losing weight. When you want to lose weight, just eat less and exercise more. That’s all. It is not rocket science.

Thank you! You are kind. I think we all love encouragement to lose weight, look well, and be healthy. It helps to be personally involved. That’s why I created the animal types – to take the blame out of dieting and have some fun.

Did you know that tofu causes a lot of health problems? Tofu is detrimental for those with undiagnosed thyroid problems, of which many Americans have. Books by Mary Shamon explain.

Tofu is controversial. Experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, believe it is very valuable as a source of protein and phytoestrogens. People who have thyroid problems should avoid cabbage, turnips and other foods that slow thyroid action.
You can’t condemn a food that has kept Asians healthy for generations.

Andrew Weil may have something to learn. The way Americans eat Tofu (lots at lunch, dinner, & ice cream) can be the difference in ?. People can have difficulty simply digesting this stuff- it makes them gassy. I know that is so for me. Asians: eat 2-3 (or more) times more veggies than we do, have traditions of meditation and Chi Kung, have family structures where whole food is prepared daily. Americans fail to match these healthy practices which may be why tofu works for some and not others.

Gan mao qing contains antibiotic herbs mostly andrographis – safe and available also in the health food store. The chinese product costs less.

It’s controversial. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends tofu.
However the tofu we get in USA may be different (more denaatured) than tofu in japan.
I llke to may soy milk when I havet the time. See the recipe in my book Feed Your Tiger
