Exploring the secrets of fast permanent weight loss
Type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes and the American Diabetes Association advises adults to undergo testing to detect diabetes even if no signs or symptoms exist. Diabetes is being discovered in all age groups even without the regular symptoms of being overweight or over 45 years of age. A diabetes prevention program is the best way to fight the disease. After testing for pre-diabetes and diabetes type 2, if the test results are normal then repeated tests should be conducted about every 3 years or as often as your doctor may recommend. Diabetes prevention should be taken seriously and if a person is overweight, has a family history of diabetes or is over 40 years of age then it should become a priority. The foundation of a good diabetes prevention program is to eat well. By eating more healthy foods along with regular physical activity and exercise it is possible to lose a few extra pounds quickly and naturally. No matter how old you are or how much you weigh it is never too late to eat right and exercise regularly. By making a few lifestyle changes immediately you can save yourself from some serious health complications with diabetes causes in the future, such as kidney, nerve and heart damage. Here are some things to consider that can be part of anyone’s diabetes prevention program: Become physically active There are truly too many benefits from regular physical activity to list here but weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and boosting the sensitivity to insulin are some important ones to mention. Research has proven that aerobic type of physical activity can help a person to control diabetes along with eating healthy foods regularly. Eat lots of fiber Foods high in fiber can also help you lose weight by making you feel full and less hungry. Recommended foods with lots of fiber are vegetables, fruits, nuts and beans. Whole grains should also be on your list as whole grain also helps to maintain blood sugar levels in the body. There are many foods made from whole grain that are conveniently ready to eat such as cereals, breads and pastas. A diabetes prevention program should be a lifestyle decision, and should be implemented as soon as possible because your health is really all you have.
