Whether the quote above is true or not, I know that I’ve personally experienced a much happier, healthier, and energized life when I choose to conciously create an alkaline environement.

I have read much, and learned the theory a lot from the effects of an acidic shape environment. Here is a short & quick list of what scientific studies have shown when you have an acidic environment…

* In skin cells – causes premature wrinkling, dry, brittle nails and dull and lifeless hair!
* Wears down muscle mass – and causes premature aging.
* Damages delicate enzymes that are essential for fighting germ properly digesting foods and even breathing.

What does this all mean? Taking alkaline foods and water in order to provide nutrients the body needs to neutralize acids and toxins in the blood, lymph, tissues and cells may be something that support your body. Of course, it is always wise and the recommendation of this author for you to check with your health professional to help you make the best health decision that is appropriate for you.

Changing your way of thinking will make the transistion towards a more alkaline lifestyle simpler. The important point to remember is that small changes a lot. Keep adding alkaline foods slowly bur consistently to help you. Here are some ideas to support you in your goals:

* Reduce consumption of sugar and sugar-based products, including soft drinks, cakes, ice cream, jello, jams and jellies, artificial fruit juices, puddings, cakes, corn syrup, chewing gum, soft drinks, biscuits, breakfast cereals, spirits, mixed drinks

* Avoid processed foods and condiments including ketchup, salad dressings, pickles, breakfast meats, canned fruit, bread, taste, cheese dips, peanut butter, prepared seafood, frozen vegetables, biscuits, canned soups, hot dogs, sausages, sweetened yogurt.

* Avoid cooking and heating food and beverages in a microwave oven.

* Avoid milk and highly processed dairy products.

* Increase the consumption of raw vegetables and raw fruits (without sugar). You must include raw vegetables in every meal. If your breakfast is so small that you only eat toast or cereal, stop eating toast and take fresh fruit or vegetable juices instead. If your lunches are usually consist of sandwiches to try to replace it with a raw salad or vegetable juice. They have a big salad before eating a heavy dinner appetizer. In this way, you’ll be sure to eat salad instead of finding all too full to finish it.

* cereals form the basis of a balanced diet and are important in maintaining the alkaline balance the body. Grains are great source of vitamins, minerals and essential nutrients, including folic acid, fiber, antioxidants and phytoestrogens carbohydrates. The Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota has established that consumption of whole grains reduces the risk of chronic diseases including cancer and cardiovascular disease. Eating cereal you can eat less but feel full. Grains should comprise about 20% of your diet.

Drink water, hydrate, toma agua, and I’ll repeat it in as many ways, and as many languages as possible, drink water. Your body is made up of over 70% water, lets replenish it..

Create alkaline balance within your shape will bring a better quality of life. You just may begin to see immediate changes in your health.
