The secret behind the successful results of interval training comes from the fact that any normal cardio exercise can be used, like rowing, biking, stairs, running and even walking. To get started, you need to figure out your own intensity scale from 1 to 10. On the scale 1 is standing still, 5 is a light jog and 10 a full blown run for your life. Remember if you’re new to exercise, start slow and build up. A standard workout you can do with any form of cardio is as follows:

A normal every day run of the mill interval training exercise routine will usually start of with a warm up. The warm up should be simple lasting no longer than 5 minutes and begin with lower intensity gradually increasing throughout. So as you have more endurance and you become more fit you have the ability to increase the intensity and duration of that intensity. Another nice feature to interval training is that while so many other forms of cardio become mundane, you can choose to change the types of cardio you do with your training. Some people work out and then drink different types of protein shakes. Some of these are not as healthy as they appear, and should be looked at closely. The protein in the shake should be at least 50% of the ingredients to be used properly by the body. If you don’t have enough protein, it will still draw it from other parts of the body to grow properly.

It is wise to remember that should you have any medications that would have a reaction by changing your diet or exercise habits, it is best to talk to a doctor prior to starting or stopping any diet or exercise routine. Therefore keeping your health first and foremost should be a priority.
