Exploring the secrets of fast permanent weight loss
Coming up with some kind of personal exercise plan is a great way to get going losing weight. Perhaps you’re new to working out or you haven’t worked out in a long while. It might even be a little frightening, commitment wise. But there is nothing to worry about, there’s an easy way to get back into exercise: walking! You need to make walking a major part of your workout plan.
First, when you’re creating an exercise plan, be sure and include walking as a day-to-day activity. If you own a dog then take it for a walk around the block for at least ten minutes. After a week, you’ll have walked a minimum of seventy minutes more than if you hadn’t done it at all. You can double this by simply walking with your dog twice a day. If you don’t live too far away from your job try walking there, or at least a portion of the way. You can do this no matter the distance of your home from your workplace. Of course, you’ll need to walk back at the end of your work day, too, so that doubles your work out – which is terrific! If you use the bus to get to your place of work, simply begin using a stop that’s a little farther from either end. It’s easy to incorporate walking in your daily life.
Walking is great for your body and overall health. The reason walking is so good for your heart and at helping you experience weight loss is that it is the best aerobic workout. Walking is usually done at a slow pace, so you won’t be straining your joints too much, unlike running. My brother is extremely slim (but he eats a lot of junk food) and I asked him how he stays thin. He claims he’s never truly thought about it, but possibly it’s because he walks quite a bit every day. At least it now adds up. Since, for most of us, nothing is simpler than walking, there’s no excuse not to.
Get into a routine of walking daily since you’ll have a better chance of sticking to it, and with the proper diet, you’ll be able to slim down rather easily. By walking you’ll also feel better and you won’t be bored by it as it’s not wearing at all, which will make you feel more inspired. Before you know it, you’ll be looking forward to your frequent walks and thinking about doing even more. If you feel you can do more – go for it. See if you can walk more quickly or, if you’re feeling very positive, you could jog. And you can go on to even more strenuous workout regimens, if you prefer.
You really don’t have a good reason to not walk a short distance every day. You can always find time to walk around your work complex, or the block. If not, get a gym membership and get on a treadmill. There are a hundred ways to skin this exercise cat.
