No one really wants to keep their love handles. No matter how adorable terms like “love handles” or “muffin tops” may sound, they are still a burden to walk around with. You should realize, however, that it’s possible to get rid of your love handles if you want to. Your love handles can be a thing of the past if you are ready to make some healthy changes in your life. Consider how good it will feel to fit easily into your clothes and not have any extra bulges! These are mostly active people, who tend to burn up many calories in their normal routine. Yet it’s not so easy for some people. In some cases, people have demanding but sedentary jobs that don’t give them much time to burn up calories but plenty of chances to snack. If you fall into this category, consult a doctor for help in coming up with a diet plan so you can cut back on calories.

It’s a good idea to make your diet consist, as much as possible, of “low energy density” foods. These are the kind of foods that do your body the most good. Some common low energy density foods include fruits and vegetables. Such foods are made up almost entirely of substances that are helpful for your body. The kind of food you want to avoid, however, are high energy density foods, which don’t do the body much good at all. Most junk and processed foods fall into this category, including unhealthy carbohydrates, such as processed white flour. You really don’t need foods that have no place to go except as more fat on your body!

If you want to make your love handles a thing of the past, there are quite a few ways to accomplish this. One approach is to work out vigorously. Going on a low calorie diet is another possibility. Doing both is probably the best idea. Before you decide on a plan of action, consult with your physician. You should have your doctor confirm that you are dieting or exercising in a healthy way. You can definitely put your love handles behind you. In most cases, you can lose them by changing some of your daily habits.
